Interface with the medical picture archive (PACS)
Purpose
The module links Med.I.S. and the PACS radiological picture archive systems; it is intended for radiology specialists and attending doctors.
Functionality
- Transference of work lists to the radiological information system (RIS);
- Transference of the patient’s data and the information on the ordered tests to the RIS by a HL7 message;
- Placement of the textual description of a radiological examination in the patient’s case report;
- Link between the image contained in the PACS and the textual description;
- Call-up of a medical image from PACS based on a link with a textual description.
